An established director, Evans wrote and co-directed the classic film Radio Flier for Columbia Pictures staring Elijah Wood and Adam Baldwin. The following year he went on to write and direct The Sandlot. Cherished by audiences and critics alike, Sandlot was produced by 20th Century Fox staring Dennis Leary and James Earl Jones. Recently David directed The Final Season for Yari Film Group staring Sean Astin, Larry Miller, Rachael Leigh Cook, and Michael Angarano. A director with a keen eye and vision, Evans’ catalog includes films for Universal, Sony, and Disney.

Regarding Glastonbury’s subject matter and original screenplay, David states, "I am very impressed with Daniel’s script, It seems impossible that no one has made this story before." Glastonbury screenwriter and producer, Daniel McNicoll, was a part of the long search for the right director. "In the end this was a very easy decision," states Daniel, "and I think David is a wonderful artist."

Evans joins a experienced group of production talent including Lord of the Rings illustrator John Howe and Weta Workshop director Richard Taylor. During the months ahead David will work closely with Galatia Films as they consider casting for the film. Glastonbury explores the legendary journey of Joseph of Arimathea as he escapes peril in Jerusalem. Upon his arrival in Britain, which is on the edge of war with Rome, he implores the help of the warrior-prince Caractacus in an effort to defend their sacred customs and ancient ways.

Lucy’s Tasty Treasures will be aired on SC ETV on the school broadcast station throughout the state this Fall. This will enable classrooms in every county to tune in to the program at specified times this semester. We are very excited about the level of accessibility this will afford. Many more classrooms will now be able to integrate Lucy’s into their health and nutrition education.

It follows Cason’s daughter, Melissa, who plays Lucy in the show, on a treasure hunt to locate and learn about healthy foods, such as fruits and vegetables, dairy and whole grains. The Bamburgh Research Project will team with Galatia Films to produce another high profile film produced by Erica Black, co-written and directed by Gerry Twomey and Daniel McNicoll. The Bamburgh Research Project is an archaeological project, which was set up in 1996 to investigate the archaeology and history of the Bamburgh area.

This film is currently in development due for release in winter 2009.

Clemson University’s production of “Crossroads” was awarded a Silver Telly, the highest honor, in the 29th Annual Telly Awards competition. The film won the Silver Telly in the category of religious/spiritual productions. The production also garnered a Bronze Telly, the second place award, in the category of documentary.

The program, based on the research of Professor Mark Small of the Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life, the film portrays ministries of Catholic Sisters in South Carolina, highlighting their historical impact and challenging future. The film’s premiere was broadcast on South Carolina Educational Television on Easter Sunday 2008.

“Crossroads” represents a creative collaboration involving IFNL, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina, and Clemson University’s Video Production Services.
