Reclaiming the Blade premiered at a gala event hosted at The Brooks Center in Clemson, South Carolina on April 27th, 2009. The event included appearances by the director, Daniel McNicoll, the producer, Erica Black, and several people featured in the film including Tom Urso, Whit Williams, and Preston Williams.

Before the film was screened, attendees enjoyed sword fighting demos from many different disciplines including Historical European Martial Arts, Kum Do, Sport Fencing, and Armtgard. Also several lucky audience members walked home with special gifts and prizes including signed DVDs, T-shirts, a Hasbro Force FX Lightsaber, and a historically accurate replica sword from Albion Swords.

Reclaiming the Blade is now available for Pre-order at Galatia Films Home Entertainment and will advance ship March 30th.

Pre-orders placed prior to the shipping date will receive free RTB T-shirts.  The 2-Disc Special Edition includes over 4 hours of Special Features and will be officially available at local retailers wherever DVDs are sold May 5th.

Galatia Films is pleased to announce our new Production Video Channel. To start we have a welcome video message from the director of the film, Daniel McNicoll. Over the coming months and through theatrical distribution we will be offering exclusive highlights covering the film-making process. From Skywalker Sound to the Mind Over Eye studio in Santa Monica California, these production videos will give you a detailed look inside the film.

In addition to the select "making of" videos we will also be revealing extended clips and brilliant interviews that can only be seen on the RTB Video Production Channel. Including exclusive clips from actors and academics such as Viggo Mortensen and Dr. Sidney Anglo. Over 300 hours of footage was captured to create Reclaiming the Blade and certainly lots of great clips were unfortunately left out. Also each episode opener, starting with this first video, will include sneak peaks at David James Nielsen’s score for the film.
